Chilas develops and commercialises ultra narrow line-width tuneable external cavity lasers. The laser comprises an InP reflective semiconductor optical amplifier (RSOA) as gain medium and a Si3N4 waveguide circuit as external cavity. Due to low cavity loss and long optical cavity length, Chilas’ laser can achieve high output power(>40mW) and ultra-narrow linewidth(<1kHz). Chilas offers narrow-linewidth tunable laser with butterfly package as well as OEM module. The lasers are used in a wide range of applications, including datacom, satellite communications, LiDar applications (automotive, industrial robots), fiber sensing applicarions (structural health monitoring), and in the oil industry (hydrophone, gas sensing and pipeline monitoring). Chilas was founded in 2018 and it’s a privately held company headquartered in the Netherlands, in addition, Chilas has established direct sale office in Suzhou, China.
